10 Quick Tips and Tricks for Your Hair and Makeup

Need to speed up your routine to make room for more holiday fun? Between mixing the stuffing, drinking eggnog, and making sure that no one is opening their gift earlier than santa wants them to, who has time for hair and makeup? Here are some quick and easy hair and makeup tips straight from the ">beauty school to help keep you looking stylish for the holidays!

1. Quick and Easy Skin Clean
To get rid of oil and refresh makeup, lightly mist your face with toner, then pat lightly with a tissue, says Eva Scrivo, makeup artist and owner of the eponymous New York City salon. Finally, dust with loose powder and you're done!

2. Ponytail it Together
A ponytail is the best way to look good in a second - after all, it's the ultimate easy style. To do: Pull your hair back haphazardly with your fingers and sprits with hairspray, says Roy Teeluck, owner of the Roy Teeluck Salon in New York City. Twist a stray tendril around your hair elastic, pin, and you're looking good in no time.

3. Rapid Face Revival - Looking Awake!
To make yourself look presentable after a long night, pat concealer onto the inner corners of your eyes, under your lower lashes, and by your nose, says Scrivo. Just swirl bronzer over your cheeks to tie it all together.

4. Gorgeous Nails in Seconds
Schick's 60-second strategy: Take off polish, clean under your nails (with lemon juice, if you have it), and rub the thickest lotion you can get your hands on (lip balm will suffice in a pinch) into your cuticles.

5. Use Pink to Fake Perfect Skin
It's true! Concealer only takes you half way there when it comes to fixing flaws. To perfect your complexion for good (no matter what your skin tone), try wearing lipstick in a warm pink tone. "It distracts people's eyes from blemishes and other imperfections," says Schick.

6. Swift Skin Hydration
Use conditioner to moisturize your hair - and body, says Schick. Just massage it in neck-to-toe in the shower, rinse, and dry off. The conditioner hydrates you just as fully as body lotion without sucking up time in your routine.

7. Keep a Frontal Focus
When you're strapped for time, do the T-zone blow-dry: down your part and around your hairline only. "As long as the front and top of your hair looks finished," says Scrivo, "so will you."

8. Throw on Your Evening Eyes
Eyeliner is the quickest and easiest way to look sexy, says Delux Beauty creator Jillian Dempsey. To do: Trace your top lash lines to just past the outer corners of your eyes.

9. 'Do without the Puff
To compress frizz, wet your hands with water and a drop of hand lotion, then lightly draw your hair back into a French twist. Wait 10 minutes; take your strands down. Voilà - fuzz free!

10. Instant Lightening
If scalp grease (or too many products) have left with hair that looks like a used mop, sprinkle translucent powder over your roots, then brush through, says makeup artist Morgen Schick.
